A team working together for over 5 years.
Paul, our CEO, is in charge of sales and marketing. After a PhD in magnetism applied to biomanipulation in Grenoble, Paul evolved internationally in the US and in France in two start-up companies mainly focused on cell manipulation and innovative high throughput screening solutions. In December 2014, he returned to Grenoble to join our group and launch the start-up.
Finance & Operations
After graduating from ESSEC Business School (Paris), Cédric worked at Banque Paribas in France and in New York in structured finance transactions. In 1999, he joined the European private equity investor, Argos Soditic, where he spent 17 years (inc.10 years as partner) leading investments in France and in Switzerland. Cédric joined MagIA diagnostics in 2017 as CFO and COO.
Research & Development
Sarah, the biologist of the team was trained in in vitro diagnostics. In 2013, she developed a biomolecular test for infectious diseases at the Institut Pasteur (Madagascar). During her PhD (IAB and G2ELab), she developed the protocol which is now used in the MagIA immunoassay. Since 2017, she is in charge of the Research & Development (RD) efforts and Regulatory Affairs (RA).
Mario joined the MagIA diagnostics team in spring 2015 as a masters student. He is a mechanical and process engineer by training and possesses strong skills in microfluidics. During his PhD, he worked on the micromagnetic structures as well as the microfluidic cartridge concept. Since 2018, he is in charge of the industrialization and production of the cartridge at MagIA diagnostics.
Bond by a shared vision based on common values
Philippe Halfon MD, PharmD, is the founder of several biotechnology companies based on the development of antiviral drugs (ACTgene & Genoscience Pharma). He is the head of the internal medicine department of the European Hospital of Marseille. He is also in charge of the R&D at Marseille Central Labs AlphaBio.
Ronald Delagrange is the former CEO of MacoPharma. He is bringing to MagIA diagnostics his strong knowledge in the Medical Device industrial field, as well as his network among financial investors.
Non operating founders
Guillaume co-invented the MagIA diagnostics technology during his PhD in Grenoble. He became one of our co-founders and was central to maturating the technology. After a fruitful couple years of collaboration, he moved on to pursue new R&D challenges.
Orphée is a CNRS researcher in magnetic microsystems for medical technologies. He got an engineering degree from ENSAM and a PhD in materials sciences & magnetism. He loves making strange new toys to play around with, and co-founded EnerBee & MagIA diagnostics.
