Infectious diseases screening panel

Syndromic screening of HIV, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C

The growing challenges of pandemic risk management for infectious diseases drives the need for decentralized diagnostic solutions. Most available diagnostic solutions are focussing on detecting a single parameter. However, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that about 10% of people in the United States infected with HIV are co-infected with Hepatitis B. More than 120 million high-risk populations need to be screened on a infectious disease panel in western countries alone. That is why the HAS and the WHO are both looking for assays providing full serological status on the three mains sexually transmitted diseases HIV, HCV and HBV.

Using a single drop of blood, the MagIA diagnostics Infectious diseases panel detects the pathogens that most commonly present a co-infection: Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV.

The rapid and accurate knowledge of the presence or absence of the related pathogens will help make timely decisions about treatment, vaccination, infection control, and patient return to work and family.

Panel compositions

We know that there is no solution to fit them all. That is why our panel is available as standalone Hepatitis B kit, as Hepatitis C and HIV kit or as an combined screening kit.

Our single cartridge Hepatitis B screening solution. By screening for the presence of HbsAg, anti-HBs and anti-HBc at the same time, our HBV kit allows for a rapid decision between a vaccination or a Hepatitis B inction suspiscion.

Our single cartridge Hepatitis C and HIV screening solution. By screening for the presence VIH1 and VIH 2 antibodies, p24 antigen and HCV antibodies, our HCV / HIV kit allows for a infection suspicion within 15 minutes.

In order to test the entire serological panel at once, MagIA diagnostics offers a combined HIV/HCV and HBV screening solution. Within a single finger-prick and a time to result of only 15 minutes, the kit based on two cartridges can detect up to 6 parameter:

  • VIH1 and 2 antibodies
  • p24 antigen
  • HCV antibodies
  • HbsAg
  • anti-HBs
  • anti-HBc

 Syphilis

Syphilis detection will soon be implemented into the HIV/HCV and HBV cartridges to integrate the recrudescence of this infectious disease into our panel.

Tropical fever cartridge

A tropical fever cartridge will allow the parallel detection of Dengue fever, Chikungunya and Zika using the same cartridge technology as our infectious diseases panel.
