On World AIDS Day today, the ๐ ๐ฎ๐ด๐๐ ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ด๐ป๐ผ๐๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ team is reaffirming its commitment to making early HIV screening accessible to all.
The latest data is cause for concern:
๐ฃ The UNAIDS 2025 report refers to a ‘historic setback’ due to the decline in funding and disruption to prevention and care services.
๐ฃ A recent study in The Lancet HIV suggests that these cuts could result in up to 10.8 million new infections and 2.9 million deaths by 2030.
In France, although the number of HIV tests is increasing, the number of positive results has stagnated.
Against this backdrop, innovation in diagnostics remains essential, with the main challenge being to offer more efficient screening. It is with this in mind that the ๐ ๐ฎ๐ด๐๐ ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ด๐ป๐ผ๐๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ solution has been developed, based on an approach that is
โ
a multiplexed approach that is easier to use and less expensive than conventional screening.
โ
It is mobile, enabling screening to be offered as close as possible to vulnerable populations.
โ
It is also digitised to facilitate data feedback, and in the long term it will offer epidemic mapping to help focus screening efforts as close as possible to infectious outbreaks.
